About

Sean is an experienced criminal defence lawyer who understands the gravity and impact that criminal allegations have on people accused of committing crimes. He is acutely aware of the intersection between criminal law, mental health, and addiction. He regularly represents clients on many criminal matters including:

•   driving offences
•   property offences
•   assault offences
•   sexual offences
•   drug-related offences
•   weapons offences
•   administration of justice offences

He acts for clients at all stages of the criminal process, from the earliest stages of investigation through to the completion of the matter. Whether the allegations are minor or serious, Sean will advocate tirelessly and strategically through every step to achieve the best outcome possible. Sean has extensive courtroom experience at all stages including bail hearings, Charter applications, guilty pleas, contested trials, and sentencing hearings. Sean has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and represents clients in courts across multiple jurisdictions throughout Ontario.

Sean obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School where he was singularly focused on criminal law during his studies. Notably, he completed Osgoode Hall’s renowned Criminal Law Intensive Program, where he participated in a placement with the judiciary at Old City Hall. Prior to starting his own practice, he articled and practiced for several years with a well-established criminal defence firm in the GTA. Sean is called to the Ontario Bar and is a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association. He accepts Legal Aid certificates and private retainers.
